Arley Hall & Gardens

Amongst the finest in Britain and Europe the gardens have been created over the last 250 years by successive generations of the same family within its eight acres of formal gardens, which can take you several hours to meander around, there are many different areas, each with its own distinctive character. The garden’s best known feature is its Herbaceous Border which was probably the first border of its kind planted in England.
Newby Hall House & Gardens

“A Garden for all Seasons” – Newby’s award winning gardens, created in the early 1920s, have evolved over the years making a major contribution to 20th century gardening. They provide a haven for both specialist and amateur gardeners alike. Designed astride one of Europe’s longest double herbaceous borders which slopes gently down to the River Ure. Newby also holds the national collection of CORNUS (dogwoods). It is quite simply an experience that no garden-lover should miss.
